About the Hotel

The Premium mini-hotel is a cozy boutique hotel located in the historic center of Saint Petersburg. Nestled in a quiet alley near Nevsky Prospect, it is situated within the courtyard of the Arctic and Antarctic Museum. The building that now houses the hotel was originally constructed in 1847 by architect Karl Ivanovich Brandt, who later became the first diocesan architect of Saint Petersburg. By decree of Emperor Nicholas I, a brick building was erected in December 1852 near the Edinoverie Church (now the museum building) to accommodate students of the Real School.

This area is closely connected with the lives of prominent figures of the 18th century. Writer Alexander Radishchev, novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky, architect Vasily Stasov, and composer Anton Rubinstein all lived here. Across from the present-day hotel, on Marata Street, stood the house of Olga Pushkina, the sister of Alexander Pushkin. In 1905, the building was renovated, adding a second floor and updating the façade. Over the years, it housed both church and government institutions, but after the 1917 Revolution, it fell into decline.

On June 9, 2009, the renovated Premium hotel once again opened its doors to guests, blending rich history with modern comfort standards.
